We’ve recently encountered challenges with customers refusing orders upon delivery without providing any reason and avoiding our calls. This has resulted in significant shipping costs, including delivery and return fees, totaling nearly Rs. 10,000 for Christmas tree orders, each weighing an average of 7 kg.
The return shipments are often in such poor condition after three failed delivery attempts that we can’t resell them or return them to the vendor.
To address this issue and ensure the sustainability of our small business, we’ve implemented a new policy for Christmas tree purchases.
Effective immediately, when you purchase a Christmas tree, you will be required to make a small deposit in advance, with the remaining amount to be paid at the time of delivery (Cash on Delivery). We believe this policy will help address the issues we’ve been facing.
Policy Conditions:
- If a customer cancels their order before dispatch, the deposit will be fully refunded.
- If a customer cancels an order after dispatch or refuses to accept the shipment at the time of delivery, the deposit will not be refunded.
