How do I put fairy lights on a Christmas tree?

Open every branch of the tree first, then add the lights before any ornaments. Start at the top and wind the string around the tree, tucking it a little into the branches so the wire stays hidden. Spread the lights evenly from top to bottom. Once the lights are on, hang the balls and ornaments, and put the star on top last.
